Innovation Process for Sustainable Business Models in Developing and Emerging Countries
lab of tomorrow creates business-driven solutions for concrete needs in developing and emerging countries. In the lab of tomorrow, companies from Europe and partner countries jointly develop economic and sustainable solutions to concrete problems. It opens up access to new markets, knowledge and networks for companies and small and medium-sized enterprises as well as founders from all sectors.
At the heart of the process is a workshop lasting several days using the design thinking method, in which business models are rethought and designed from the perspective of users in interdisciplinary teams from business, research and civil society. These approaches are then further developed in a test and pilot phase by the business partners, with the experts from the lab of tomorrow supporting them with relevant know-how and contacts. The innovations are then brought to market in joint ventures, start-ups or as part of the portfolio of a partner company.
