With the conclusion of the EU-Mercosur Agreement and Brazil's role as guest country at Hannover Messe 2026, the Brazilian-German partnership is once again in the spotlight. This partnership has a long tradition: For decades, German companies have been producing locally, integrating Brazilian locations into global value chains and investing in training and innovation – a resilient win-win constellation in the spirit of an inclusive and resilient global economy.
Building on this foundation, the panel will address key questions: Where are new value chains emerging in green industry, energy, hydrogen and digitalisation? What expectations do both sides have of investment, technology transfer and sustainable reindustrialisation? And what role do economic cooperation and regulatory frameworks play in this process?
At the same time, the event turns its attention to the leadership and decision‑making skills that will shape this new phase. International cooperation, talent development and diverse leadership perspectives are seen as central success factors for a sustainable industry – not as an add‑on, but as a prerequisite.
